This village of medieval origin rises on a hill above the valley of the river Chiascio; it has origins closely related to the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria and the castle in Vallis Fabricae. It is located along the ancient road that connected Assisi to Gubbio, along which there are important monasteries and churches related to the life of St. Francis. The Church of St. Sebastian, dating back to the 14th Century and renewed in the 16th Century, is located close to the perimeter walls of the ancient castle of Pedicino, it is a city hall propriety and often used for socio-cultural meetings and exhibitions, as well as for rites and religious functions. In the surroundings of the residential area, stand out the Castle of Giomici, the Castle of Coccorano and the Castle of Poggio Morico, all dating back to the 11th Century.
