The Gastronomy

It is not possible to tell about Alta Umbria properly without talking about the huge variety of its typical foods and dishes: the genuine, natural and ancient flavours of this land get merged with it and are an integral part of its identity.

Our gastronomy is born from poor ingredients (such as legumes or chestnuts) and finer products (for instance the truffle, worldwide famous for its aroma, or meats and cold cuts).

Our dishes wisely combine strong scents and more delicate flavours, creating unique taste balances definitely worthy savouring.

Please find the time to taste them: there is much choice of excellent taverns throughout the burghs, in addition to the traditional “fast food”, such the typical “crescia”, a delicious flat bread usually stuffed with local cold cuts… Enjoy your extremely tasty travel!
